This class is suitable for adults of all ages and abilities, especially for those new to Yoga or who are looking for a restorative or rehabilitating style of class. Incorporating breathing techniques to still the mind before moving into a gentle Vinyasa flow where the movement is in sync with the breath, this class will focus on gently stretching and strengthening the body, soothing aches and pains and ending in a meditation practice to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

POWER YOGA – Tuesday 8pm-9.15pm

This class is suitable for adults of all ages looking for a stronger Yoga practice focusing on building strength and increasing flexibility. The class will begin in stillness, utilise a variety of breathing techniques and postures to create a more dynamic style of movement and end with a meditation to clear the mind, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energised. Previous experience of Yoga is not necessary, just an able body and open mind.

ONE TO ONE SESSIONS – Available 7 days a week, AM or PM.

One to One sessions are offered to suit a variety of needs. If you feel as though you have little time to spare and really want to get the most out of your practice, a private Yoga class is the ideal option. You may be nervous about going to a yoga class for the first time and would prefer to be introduced to Yoga in a private space or you may have an injury which prevents you from attending a class.  If you are suffering in some way (physically, emotionally or mentally) and wish to find an effective way to feel better in your body and mind, then One to One Yoga sessions could be the ideal solution for you.

WHAT IS YOGA?

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self” – The Bhagavad Gita

The Spiritual:

There are as many definitions of what Yoga is as there are ways in which to practice it. The Sanskrit word Yoga means “union” or “connection” which when applied to everyday life it can be interpreted as the acknowledgement of the light within ourselves that connects us to all living things. As human beings we naturally seek this feeling of connection and community. Practicing Yoga increases awareness of our mind and body and it is this awareness that allows us to feel and experience connection. When we find and cultivate this aspect of ourselves, we create our own health, happiness and peace which we can then, in turn, convey to others.

Ancient Yogis formulated a way to connect, balance and maintain our mind, body and soul through Yoga poses (Asana), breathing practices (Pranayama) and meditation.  Today, Yoga is practised by millions due to the wealth of physical, mental and emotional benefits it can offer.

Physical Benefits:

– Improves flexibility, mobility, balance and control.

– Offers a greater understanding and awareness of your body

– Helps with insomnia or other sleep issues

– Improves digestive and respiratory systems

– Protects your spine and overall bone health

– Prevents injury and acts as a treatment for back pain and sore muscles

– Increases blood flow and regulates your adrenals

– Supports your connective tissue, prevents cartilage and joint breakdown

– Maintains the nervous system and boosts immunity

– Regulates metabolism to aid weight loss

Mental Benefits:

With regular practice we are able to shift our focus from the stresses of the past and future and anchor ourselves in the present moment, the only moment that life really exists.  Yoga calms the mind, increases mental focus and enables us to let go of negative thoughts and stress.

Emotional Benefits:

Practicing Yoga is an instant mood booster, allowing you to release pent up emotions and stresses leading to an increased feeling of well being. It can be hugely benefits for those suffering with depression and anxiety and teaches us to be compassionate with ourselves and others.

Testimonials from current attendees:

I started yoga with the hope of improving my movement, strength & flexibility. Sarah demonstrates positions adding varying elements of difficulty allowing people of all capabilities to partake. The class has improved my physical state but the part I’ve probably benefited most from is the positive mental influence it brings. Sarah made me aware of how little time we take for ourselves in day to day life. The enjoyment and peace yoga has given me in class and during my day now has me attending 2 of Sarah’s classes weekly. Can’t get enough.” Lee, Crawley.

I highly recommend Sarah’s Dynamic Yoga class, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. She listened to my issues and gave me some specific exercises/stretches to help. For a long time I have suffered from repeated back and neck pain caused by other sports/activities, but since practicing yoga, I suffer from almost no pain in those areas anymore. I have found I am more flexible in all areas and generally feel more energised which I credit to regular yoga practice. Again, can’t recommend this class enough.” Paul, Crawley.

I love Sarah’s yoga classes! She is an amazing teacher – she puts a lot of effort into each class which makes it interesting and challenging every time. We start our sessions with a short meditation and finish with a longer one – and this is such a nice way to leave all the worries and daily hustle behind and to concentrate on the present moment & yourself… So from yoga asanas and meditation combined together I experience great benefits and can tell that not only my lifestyle has changed since I’ve started, but my mindset too. As they say “It’s better to pay for your Yoga Classes then your Health Insurance”… Thank you very much Sarah!” Olia, Crawley.
