New updated guidelines for Multiple Sclerosis and exercise.

The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care. The organisation has updated its guidance on MS to encourage exercise. It says that patients should be advised that aerobic, stretching and balance exercises could be helpful in managing fatigue.

NICE recommends supervised exercise programmes and a minimum once a year comprehensive review of their care. Patients with Multiple Sclerosis should have input from a multi-disciplinary team including physiotherapists.
