The Ministry of Justice has announced a fixed fee of £180 for both Physiotherapists and GP’s, as part of its on going whiplash reforms.
Currently some medical professionals have been charging up to £700 for medical reports! The fees that GP’s and Physiotherapists can charge for the reports are now equal and in the words of CSP head of public affairs and policy, Donna castle “it clearly shows Physios to be equal to GP’s in terms of the fee they can command for a whiplash assessment and also serves to demonstrate Physiotherapists are equally qualified to undertake these assessments”.
